As part of the Dekoloniale Festival 2022, Nathalie Bayer (Head of FHXB Museum) and Christian Kopp (Head of Dekoloniale [hi]stories and [re]presentations) gave an insight into the cooperation in the context of the cooperation exhibition of the model project Dekoloniale Memory Culture in the City the FHXB Museum.

Although Germany officially became a colonial power in 1884, the migration of people from the colonies was neither intended nor planned. Despite everything, people came to the colonial metropolis of Berlin. The exhibition allows a new perspective on Berlin and encourages understanding of colonialism and migration as inseparable parts of our past and present.
