Este recorrido descubre nombres de calles coloniales como Kiautschoustraße, Pekingerplatz y Samoastraße en Berlin-Wedding, y rastrea el legado del colonialismo alemán en Qingdao, Beijing y Apia.
Aunque fue de corta duración y en gran medida limitada, la ambición colonial alemana en China tuvo un impacto profundo. Aceleró la caída del Imperio chino y desató un movimiento estudiantil que cambió la trayectoria de China.
Las consecuencias de la supresión del Movimiento Yihetuan (1900-1901) por parte de las Ocho Naciones Aliadas también siguen siendo tangibles en los museos alemanes, donde se conserva un número considerable de valiosos artefactos saqueados de China.
Esta gira también explorará la interconexión entre las esferas de influencia de Alemania en China y Samoa, profundizando en la explotación de los recursos naturales y la mano de obra barata que impulsaron las ganancias capitalistas alemanas.
