Kimiko Suda ─ Soziologin und wissenschaftliche Referentin
Kimiko Suda holds a PhD in sociology and works from Sinophone/Asian-Diasporic perspectives on (post)migrant resistance to racism and other forms of social injustice. She focuses on queerfeminist and intersectional approaches and is concerned with power and discourses, self-organization, and cultural self-representation. She is currently a research assistant at the korientation project Media Empowerment for German Asians (MEGA for short). From August to December 2020, she was a research assistant at the Humboldt University of Berlin in the collaborative project Social Cohesion in Times of Crisis. The Corona Pandemic and Anti-Asian Racism in Germany. Together with Sun-ju Choi, she directs the Asian Film Festival Berlin. and participates for korientation in the cooperation project "Wall Stories Revisited" of the Berlin Wall Foundation, in which a diversification of the culture of remembrance on the fall of the Wall is to be advanced, korientation participates together with EOTO, the Turkish Federation Berlin-Brandenburg and Amaro Drom in the diversification of perspectives on the fall of the Wall in museum mediation work.
